The best thing I learned in science was the chapter about mirrors. I liked this chapter because I always wondered about mirrors and I’ve never learned a chapter about mirrors. I’ve learned a lot of stuff about mirrors that I never knew about. I paid more attention to this chapter than any other chapter since it was so fascinating. Hopefully, I will learn a lot more about mirrors during my other years in school.
During that chapter, we experimented with mirrors and saw how it reflects, and learned two different kinds of mirrors called concave and convex. A flat surface that is shiny and smooth can also reflect like a mirror. For example, tiles, water in the lake, or screens from a computer. Also, we learned about the eyesight of a human and why people need glasses which are called far-sighted and near-sighted. During that chapter, we did an optional project which had to do with lasers reflecting mirrors. While we were about to do the project at home, Mr. Reduzzi showed us how to angle the mirrors so they reflect. Finally, I also learned about electromagnetic spectrum that has to do with the radio wave and what they are.
I have learned a few skills in science this year. A skill that I really learned this year was to keep your notes safe and sound. If you are missing notes, you have to get notes from someone you really trust. Another skill I learned this year is to pay more attention to what the teacher is reviewing. If you pay no attention to the teacher, you will have harder time working on your worksheets by yourself and will have no clue of what you’re doing. Surely, I will use these skills through the rest of my school life. I can use my knowledge for science for so many things in the world. Maybe, I will be a scientist when I grow up and need to know these facts for my career. I may need that knowledge if I’m going to have a big test about things I know about science, or maybe I really need these facts for next year. I could be a science teacher one day and I have to know what I’m talking about to help the other kids. There’s so many things in the world I can use this knowledge. Hopefully, I can use that knowledge to the real world.
